Ohren beim Hund schneiden

Hi zusammen,

extrem traurig, dass ich solche Hunde immer wieder in der Stadt treffe. Die Hundebesitzer, die ich mit solhen Hunden getroffen habe wissen genau, dass die Hunde vorherr so verstümmelt wurden. Da passt der Besitzer aber auch wie die Faust aufs Auge zum misshandelten Hund. Wirklich schade, dass man die Hundebesitzer, die in Deutschland gemeldet sind nicht dafür belangen kann. Es würde ja schon reichen, wenn man die Hunde durch das Ordnungsamt oder die Polizei sofort dem Besitzer wegnehmen könnte. Dann würde das die Szene deutlich ausdünnen und keiner könne die Gesetze mit Import und Export von Hunden umgehen. Aber wo der Staat keinen Handlungsbedar sieht ... Da fällt mir echt nichts mehr dazu ein!

Sind Hunde mit langen Fell schwieriger zu halten?

Hi,

Hunde mit langem Fell sind insgesamt meist aufwendiger zu pflegen als Kurzhaar Hunde, wenn man die Fellpflege nicht allein dem Hund überlässt. Aber nicht nur die Länge des Haarkleids ist ausschlaggebend, sondern auch die Art des Fells. Manche Langhaar und auch manche Kurzhaar Hunde haben ein Unterfell, welches nach dem Winter zu einem massiven Haaren der Hunde führt. Wenn ihr die Haare nicht zu Hause haben wollt, dann müsst ihr Euren Hunden ein paar Wochen lang das Unterfell rausbürsten. Bei Hunden ohne Unterfell ist das nicht der Fall. Es gibt auch ein paar Hunderassen, wie den Pudel oder Kreuzungen mit einem Pudel, die fast gar nicht haaren.

Hund kastrieren oder sterilisieren

Hallo zusammen,

wir haben unsere Hündinnen bisher auch nie kastrieren lassen. Auch in einer Familie mit 2 Kindern geht das völlig ohne Probleme. Das Risiko der Krebserkankungen von nicht kastrierten Hündinnen gegenüber kastrierten Hündinnen ist laut unserer Erfahrungen und der unserer Hundeschule nicht größer. Wir haben uns dazu vorher selbst informiert und sind nicht blind den Meinungen der Tierärzte gefolgt, die solche OPs schnell mal unter gewissen Umständen empfehlen. Das Risiko, das Hündinnen ohne Kastration an Krebs erkranken liegt bei ca. 2 %. Hündinnen mit einer Kastration vor der ersten Läufigkeit liegen unter einem Prozent.

Bis vor ca. 30 Jahren sind Rassen wie Dobermann, Doggen oder Boxer aufgrund falscher Vorgaben für Rassen unter unhygienischen Zuständen von Züchtern und anderen an den Ohren beschnitten worden. Dabei hat man den Welpen mit einer Vorlage oder Schablone bereits im Welpenalter die Ohren einfach mit einem Skalpell, Scheren u.a. die Ohren auf das vorgegebene Mass gekürzt. Da dies meist auch ohne ärztliche Unterstützung durchgeführt wurde, war das für Hunde extrem schmerzhaft und auch gefährlich für Entzündungen. Ein grausames Verfahren für ein falsches Schönheitsideal an Tieren, dass zum Glück der Tierschutz für Deutschland Mitte der 80er Jahre gestoppt hat.

Hi Anne,

Lange Haaren und Allergien im Allgemeinen haben keinen Zusammenhang. Es gibt Hunde, die haaren kaum und es gibt Hunde mit kurzem Fell, die extrem viel Haare verlieren. Allerdings gibt es Hunde, dir für Allergiker geeignet sind. Diese Hunderassen haben langes und kurzes Fell. Die Länge des Harrkleids macht da keinen Unterschied.
Bekannte Rassen dafür sind Schnauzer, Terrier, Nackhunde und Wasserhunde. Das sind in der Regel eher kleinere Hunderassen, aber es gibt auch Kreuzungen, mit den guten Eigenschaften der Allergiker Rassen. DIe Kreuzungen findest Du aber eher selten in Tierrheimen ...
